Tomasz Kaczmarek is per direct de nieuwe hoofdtrainer/coach van FC Den Bosch. De 38-jarige Pool met Duitse roots tekent een contract dat hem ook de komende twee seizoenen aan FC Den Bosch bindt.

Op jonge leeftijd verlegde Kaczmarek zijn focus van voetballer naar het trainersvak. Aan het begin van zijn carrière was hij actief als trainer van het Duitse Bonner SC, waarna hij in 2012 assistent-trainer werd bij het nationale elftal van Egypte. Vervolgens nam hij opnieuw de rol van assistent-trainer op zich, dit keer bij het Noorse Stabæk IF. In 2015 keerde Kaczmarek terug naar Duitsland, waar hij achtereenvolgend trainer werd bij Viktoria Köln, Stuttgarter Kickers en Fortuna Köln. Na anderhalf seizoen als assistent bij Pogoń Szczecin, werd Kaczmarek in september 2021 hoofdtrainer bij Lechia Gdańsk. Met deze club wist hij zich te plaatsen voor Europees voetbal.

Technisch manager Yousuf Sajjad: “Tomasz heeft laten zien succesvol te kunnen werken bij teams op verschillende niveaus, zowel als assistent- en als hoofdtrainer. Hij heeft gewerkt in verschillende landen en heeft ervaring in het managen van grote persoonlijkheden, maar ook in het bijdragen aan de ontwikkeling van jeugdspelers richting het eerste elftal. Een van de criteria’s in de zoektocht naar een nieuwe hoofdtrainer was dat diegene het project begrijpt, weet wat er moet gebeuren en welke fases we gaan doorlopen. In eerste instantie om stabiel te worden, te bouwen en door te groeien. Tomasz voldoet aan onze eisen. We kijken er naar uit om samen te starten.”

Tomasz Kaczmarek is the new head coach of FC Den Bosch. The 38-year-old Pole with German roots signs a contract that also binds him to FC Den Bosch for the next two seasons.

At a young age, Kaczmarek shifted his focus from football to coaching. At the start of his career he got appointed as manager of German side Bonner SC. After his time at Bonner SC he became assistant coach with the national team of Egypt in 2012. He then took on the role of assistant coach again, this time with the Norwegian Stabæk IF. In 2015, Kaczmarek returned to Germany, where he successively became head coach at Viktoria Köln, Stuttgarter Kickers and Fortuna Köln. After a season and a half as an assistant at Pogoń Szczecin, Kaczmarek became head coach at Lechia Gdańsk in September 2021. With this club he managed to qualify for European football.

Technical manager Yousuf Sajjad: “Tomasz has highlighted the ability to successfully work with teams at different levels in both assistant and head coach roles. He has worked across a number of different countries and has experience in managing big personalities, as well as contributing towards the development of academy graduates stepping up to first team level. One of the main criteria for us when searching for the head coach position was someone that understands the project, level of work that is required and the stages we have to go through – initially for us to stablise, build and then grow. Tomasz definitely ticks this box. We look forward to starting this journey together”
